狙った高齢者宅にマークをつけて同業者に伝える-悪徳リフォーム業者
サムニンイースト幹部らによる高齢者リフォーム詐欺事件で、同社の訪問販売員らは狙いをつけた高齢者宅の電気メーターなどに、鉛筆で星マークを書き残していたことがわかった。グループ内で『ＯＫマーク』と呼ばれ、契約の可能性が高い顧客であることを仲間に伝える目的で付けていた。
警視庁は、感触の良い高齢者宅を、販売員らが次々に訪問しては強引な契約を重ねていた同グループの悪質なやり口を示すものとみて追及する。
同グループ販売員は、独り暮らしの高齢者宅や、家族と同居していても日中は一人で留守を預かっている高齢者を狙って営業していた。
狙いをつけると、『近くに仕事で来たが、通りかかったら気になることがあった』などと言って訪問。倒産した大手住宅外装会社の顧客名簿を基に『うちがアフターケアすることになっている』と訪ねてくることもあった。
高齢者が断っても、『無料だから』『すぐに済むから』と説き伏せ、家に入ると天井裏をのぞき『えーっ、これはひどい』『わー、これは驚いた』などと大げさに叫んでみせる。さらに天井裏や床下に３０分以上入り込み、ほこりだらけになってから姿を見せて信頼させ、言葉巧みに契約を取りつけるのが典型的な手口という。
販売員は、契約に成功したり感触の良かった高齢者宅を仲間に知らせるため、玄関近くにある電気メーターやガスメーター、扉に星マークを書き残していた。
このマークを目印に、グループの別の販売員らが次々と訪問。まず屋根改修工事を契約した被害者の場合、『上司』『技術担当』『営業担当』などを名乗る販売員が代わる代わる訪れ、『ついでに見ます』と床下を点検、『水漏れしている』と床下補強工事を契約させられたという。
